Our Bike Valet is our secure bike parking service, designed to encourage everyone to ride bicycles to community events. With over 54,000 bikes parked, we are experts at protecting your ride. Ride your bike and park with us weekly at SLO Thursday Night Farmer’s Market and other events countywide.

FAQs

Is my bike safe at the Valet?

It sure is! With over 54,000 bikes parked we are experts at protecting your bikes. In fact, we pride ourselves in keeping your bicycle safe while you are out enjoying yourself, because we know how important it is.

What if I forget to pick up my bike?

If you forget to pick it up, we have your phone number from your check tag and will give you a call. If we cannot get in touch with you we will lock it in our storage space with a standard bicycle cable lock and may be subject to a storage fee until we are able to coordinate it’s safe return.

Can I help at the Valet?

Yes, of course! You can easily sign up to volunteer through our Volunteer Interest Form.

Can I hire the Valet for my upcoming event?

Yes! In fact it’s a great way to alleviate traffic and parking congestion and an even better way to encourage a healthy, sustainable form of transit for your event attendees.

Bike Valet is an easy way to promote healthy, sustainable transportation to your event. It’s also helpful when vehicle parking is tight and congestion is a problem.

How it works

The Bike Valet works just like a regular valet service.

Each rider is given a check tag that matches the tag attached to their bike.
The bike is carefully parked in our secure lot.
To retrieve a bike, the user hands in the check tag and the bike is returned.

We are at every Thursday Farmer’s Market in San Luis Obispo, and numerous other events throughout SLO County. We have loads of volunteer opportunities at the Bike Valet :

INCLUDED:
• 5-9 hours of Bike Valet operation*
• Our full Bike Valet service at your event (racks, tags, signage, and site supervisor)
• Maximum capacity of 200 bicycles*
• Coordination before event for specifics

• Two announcements via our social media outlets to our 5,800+ followers

Just Bike Racks
INCLUDED:
• Up to 10 collapsible bike parking racks***

MARKETING:
• None

DETAILS:
• Each rack accommodates 10 bicycles
• Easy to assemble
• Racks are 8 feet long
• $200 refundable deposit required
• Delivery not available
• Coordination with staff for pick up/drop off
• Racks cannot accommodate the weight of eBikes or cargo bikes.
$80/day ($40/day during Bike Month!)
