Bikefest is Back and Better Than Ever

Get ready for an awesome day of bicycles in the Village of Arroyo Grande – the 7th annual Bikefest takes place on Saturday, May 9th and this year is going to be better than ever.

What is Bikefest?

Bikefest_500Bikefest is a fun-filled celebration of Bikes and the people who love them!  The festivities kick off with a Bike Parade around the Village starting at the Rotary Bandstand on Nelson Street at 12:20 PM. The Bike Parade concludes at Branch Street Deli where the fun continues with great food, fantastic music, incredible prizes and discounted beverages from New Belgium Brewery.

Bikefest is sponsored by the SLO County Bike Coalition, Rideshare, Lezyne, Branch Street Deli, Ira’s Bike Shop and New Belgium Brewery.

All ages are welcome, so grab your bicycle, join the Parade then enjoy the festivities at Branch Street Deli – It’s going to be a blast!

When: May 9th, 2015 from 12:20 – 4:00 PM.

July 4th Bike Parade Returns!

The Bicycle Coalition will be there to help host the 3rd annual bike parade at Morro Bay’s 4th of July celebration! We’ll have the Bike Valet set up at Tidelands park for you to keep your bike safe while you enjoy the activities until 6:00.

Are you interested in parking bikes at the Bike Valet, and securing the best seats in the house for the fireworks show at 9:00? Sign up to volunteer!

The bike parade meets at the rock at 12:30 pm before we take off at 1:00, along the embarcadero to Tidelands park, where there are fun things happening all day until the fireworks begin at 9:00. View a map of the easy parade ride here.

2011 Downtown SLO Holiday Parade

Once again, there will be a bicycle group in the downtown SLO Holiday Parade! This year’s theme is “Beary Merry Christmas”

When: This Friday, December 2nd, 6:30pm
Where: Broad and Monterey St, SLO Holiday decorations required. (No Santa Costumes)
What: Holiday decorations required… get your bike decked out! (NO Santa costumes)
